Ah, Chef Smack, only you know how to turn that half-eaten box of 3-day old Chicken Tostada into a culinary work of art. The Chef would like to hear what you think of Episode 2 of “Sketched Out”. He can take praise as easily as criticism…just be sure to let him ‘take 5 for a couple of minutes’ before you level the criticism. He’s much more receptive that way…

The Cooking with Smack sketch was the funniest one of the bunch so far, because the energy between the two of you was very good. The parody of cooking shows would have been sharper if Smack had dug the ingredients out of a dumpster on screen and then the final reveal looked like something incredible from a five star restaurant but still tasted/smelled like smack. I did laugh, though, at the OJ lines.

    Ambitious project, good job.

Chef Smack actually made the food look appetizing. I think his assistant may be trying to get his own show. Chef Smack and his assistant are cute together. I enjoyed the commercial. Good band. Thanks for making this show a hilarious part of my day. I can’t wait for the next episode. Bring on the funny!!

Thanks for your comment NotEasy. We would have had a dumpster in the scene but it was raining so hard that day we were forced to scramble for an inside location. Next time we’ll be sure to make your dumpster cuisine dreams come true

This is a great commercial! Great band! I think this is going to be a total hit. I will help spread the word! To your editor, Cheryl everything looks fantastic. Great work!

I think Jerry Guarini should get the Best New Actor in a Comedy award.
(btw, if awards were given to this series, by the creators of this series, what would they be called?)

Oh, a good award statue could be the poor little squirrel with the big, uh, acorns. Maybe call it the Nutz Award?

Nutz! Lol, that’s pretty good…maybe the Danglies?

Yes! You know how the Academy Awards nickname is the Oscars? Well, so the Nutz Awards could be affectionately referred to as the Danglies–in honor of that nutty little guy, Dangley the Squirrel.

lol, or maybe that should have been Dangly the Squirrel instead of Dangley? I don’t know. I guess we’ll have to ask his papa.

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, an old song called “I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts” just popped into my head.

    lively singing:

    down at the english fair
    one evening i was there
when i heard a showman shouting underneath the flair

i’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
there they are standing in a row
big ones small ones some as big as your head
    give ‘em a twist
    a flick of the wrist
that’s wut the show man said
now that i’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
everybody knows they’ll make me rich
    there stands me wife
    the idle of me life
singing a rolly bowly ball a penny a pitch
singing a rolly bowly ball a penny a pitch
    rolly bowly ball
    a rolly bowly ball
singing rolly bowly ball a penny a pinch

i’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
    *how lovely*
there they are standing in a row
    *1-2-3-4*
big ones small ones some as big as your head
    *and bigger*
    give ‘em a twist
    a flick of the wrist
that’s wut the show man said
now that i’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
everybody knows they’ll make me rich
    *Have a banana*
    there stands me wife
    the idle of me life
singing a rolly bowly ball a penny a pitch
singing a rolly bowly ball a penny a pitch
    rolly bowly ball
    a rolly bowly ball
singing rolly bowly ball penny a pinch

I knew from the earlier photos that this one would be funny; and, I was waiting for it. And, the Nutz Award goes too the dirty bum.
Now, how long do I have to wait for the next installment.
